The earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan on Friday March 11, 2011, caused unprecedented destruction and loss of life. Whole towns were flattened by the earthquake then washed out to sea by the tsunami. It's estimated that thousands have perished in the worst natural disaster to hit Japan in more than half a century.

The fate of thousands still missing is unknown. Sadly, among the dead and the missing are many of our more than 12,000 Independent Distributors who once lived in the Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima Prefectures: the hardest hit areas. And now it's feared there may be a melt-down at the Fukushima First Nuclear Power Plant. Already there have been three explosions, radiation leaks, and partial melt-downs of several of the reactor rods.

Our hearts go out to all those who are suffering, and we know that our Distributor family throughout the world joins us in our sympathy and concern. We have received hundreds of emails from you asking if you can join Enagic in helping.

Effective March 14, 2011, Enagic has established in Okinawa, a Headquarters for disaster relief and support. In the near future we will tell you how you may join us in work already underway to help the hundreds of thousands who are homeless and so desperately in need.

Enagic is committed to making a real, positive impact upon the situation in Japan. One of the plights facing the people in the affected areas is a lack of potable water.

Enagic has committed the donation funds to bottling clean water in specially-marked bottles intended to lift the morale of the Japanese people:
